Tiger Woods wins a duel

Woods wins again, in a tournament with some also-rans having chances. Whether it's his unflappability or their mental lapses, Woods wins his 7th Pga tournament in a row.

Conditions were perfect and the rough down after a cold winter. Quinney blew a bunker shot. And yet of all the secon tier players, perhaps Howell played the best on Sunday, closing with a 68 on Sunday playing alongside Woods.

Orange County Goydos Wins for 2nd Time!

Paul Goydos, who almost fell off the tour last year rallied on the late holes Sunday at the Sony Open and won for his second time. Last minute good play from late last year seems to have continued for him, when at the 2006's last tournament, the Chrysler Champtionship, he needed a fourth or higher to keep his card; and he managed a T2, worth $466,400.

At this year's Sony, being as far bask as four shots in the final round, Goydos birdied the 15th with a 25-footer on the 15th hole, a 20-footer on No. 16 and a birdie on the par5 18th.

"I set some goals and one of my goals was to win every decade, and so far I've accomplished that," said Goydos. "I'm stunned. I mean, I got off to a slow start and I was just trying to hang in there and just try to take it one shot at a time, sounds like a cliché, but things weren't going well early. You know, I'm stunned. I'm still stunned, and it's 20 minutes later."

Congrulations Paul!
